CURRENT ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION
RESEARCH INTEREST
My research primarily involves focussed theoretical investigation of specific atomic scale phenomenon on the domain of mineral physics, such as cation ordering, crystal defects and their effects on mechanical and electronic behaviour of materials. Using first principles Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Molecular Dynamics (MD), I explore phase diagrams and high pressure–temperature behaviour of minerals, which are of both basic and industrial interests. Thrust Areas: 1. New Materials Discovery 2. Theoretical investigations of Phase Diagram 3. Computational Mineral Physics 4. Deep EARTH Volatiles
